Annualised Hours (Annual Hours)

Evaluation of the suitability of flexible annual hours and/or other forms of flexible working for the business. 

Development and implementation of annualised hours and/or flexible working  schemes, including change management consultancy,  negotiation strategy, and communication.  Advice on alternative ways of working to satisfy your business needs and meet the aspirations of your employees. 

Consider an in-house seminar

Demand Analysis will identify the variability and uncertainty of business demand, illustrate the total demand for skills/staffing required over a period, and identify seasonality and times of potential shortfall/surplus.
Productivity Analysis

 

The analysis of people-productivity (<output> per employee-hour) by season, week, day, hour etc. (depending on what your data will support) for each discrete area of the operation will provide an estimate of the potential for improvement and an indication of the areas of the business where improvement should be possible.

Activity Analysis (Task Analysis)

 

The use of this technique assists the determination of  deployment requirements (i.e. the numbers of appropriately skilled employees needed to meet business demand - at the appropriate level of detail: by hour of the day, by day of the week, by week of the year.
Job Design following a detailed Activity Analysis (Task Analysis), and a review of the skill levels of the current workforce, a reprofiling strategy  will assist the delivery of the workforce skills required for the future.
Shift Pattern Design/Optimisation will ensure the matching of staff/skill supply to demand, while ensuring an acceptable work-life balance.
Roster Design ensuring appropriate staffing to meet demand and compliance with  Working Time Legislation, using our RotaPlan and/or RosterBuilder modelling systems.
Workforce Audit will establish an inventory of current practices and identify potential improvements in deployment methods, enhancements and workforce productivity.
Workforce Planning Analysis and modelling to identify policies to ensure future workforce requirements are delivered.
